    i ) Live load: 112.5 KN on area  375mm x 75mm

  • NOMINAL COVER : 20 mm

  • CONCRETE GRADE : 40


OKA Reinforced Concrete Large Box Culverts are designed to full MOT Type HB Loading Conditions.  The culverts can also be designed to suit any other particular loadings as required by the clients.

They may be used without the lids and placed in an inverted position as in crown forming to the deck type of construction.  This must be made know to OKA as the structure needs to be redesigned.

Precast inverts with dry weather flow section are also available upon request by purchaser.

For shallow fill depth of less than 600mm the site traffic and construction equipment can impose loadings greater than those for which the finished box culvert has been designed.  In such cases protective measures must be provided or the box culvert to be specifically designed to suit the specified increased surface load.
